About the event
India produces 75,000 tonnes of wool annually, yet over half goes to waste, even as the country imports 100,000 tonnes. This exhibition foregrounds the vast potential of desi oon as a wonder material that insulates, absorbs, protects and endures.
Indian wool can drive innovation and sustainability, and at its heart are India’s pastoralists—guardians of biodiversity and traditional wisdom—whose deep connection to nature offers invaluable lessons for a more balanced and resilient future.
